“No pain, no gain”
For so long, I subscribed to this mindset. If I wasn’t in pain, I wasn’t pushing myself hard enough.
I wouldn’t admit it but deep within me, I held this truth.
So I sought pain where I could.
But it doesn’t work that way. Pain for the sake of pain is not meaningful. It’s just unnecessary suffering.
So I’ve been on a journey of redefining my relationship with pain.
To do great things, pain is inevitable but it’s not necessary.
I can appreciate and honor it without having to seek it.
It’s a subtle reframe but one that I think will help me be happier and healthier.
Good to see you’re back, Yash..
